2022 Optica Election Results Announced

We are pleased to announce that James Kafka, Spectra-Physics/MKS, USA was elected by Optica members to serve as the society's 2023 Vice President.

His four-year commitment to Optica's Board of Directors consists of serving one year as vice president in 2023, followed by one year as president-elect in 2024, president in 2025 and past president in 2026.

Members also elected Julie Sheridan Eng, Coherent Corp, USA, and Ulrike Fuchs, asphericon GmbH, Germany to serve as Directors at Large on the Board of Directors for  2023-2025. Aleksandra Boskovic, Corning Incorporated, USA will join Eng and Fuchs as the newly Board appointed Director at Large for 2023-2025.

The results were announced at Optica's Annual Business Meeting during the 2022 Frontiers in Optics and Laser Science (FiO + LS) conference held on 17-20 October.

Kafka, Eng, Fuchs, and Boskovic will begin their terms on 01 January 2023.
